Windranger and Open Quill joined forces to launch an on-chain media project that’s designed to bring the Lootverse to life through rich, narrative storytelling. The stories of this universe were stored in the on-chain public Loot library called the Librarium, with the Genesis Eye as its access pass.

Knocking on the Librarium Door
The Genesis Eye is a magical device connecting the user to a virtual library of on-chain stories. Conceptually it functioned like a monocle, so the experience begins with the user looking through the Genesis Eye, seeing a vision of the Divine City, and being transported through it. As the user approaches the Librarium door, the vision closes. The user needs to mint the Genesis Eye NFT in order to gain access to what is behind that door.
I had to get creative to visualize this without 3D because of timelines. I painted a series of paintings of the Divine City from various camera angles, and added a motion blur transition between them to simulate traveling between the vantage points.

Inside the Librarium
Once the NFT is minted, the user can access the Librarium and read the carefully curated stories therein. The Genesis Eye is overlaid as in wireframe and the stories scroll up to the center of the Eye to be viewed. The thumbnail expands to the full story mode with the cover becoming the page header.
Visually I pictured this as standing in the center of a majestic ancient library like the old ones of Europe. A place of countless rare books and scrolls that engender a sense of wonder and amazement the moment we step inside and see the dappled light flooding in from generous windows.

Loose Ends
As always it was important to carry on the visual brand to every point of contact including the About page, Genesis Eye switcher, and other elements.
